Journey to Kenya

Let God be your Adventure Guide.

A little in-between

The last few days have been hard. That doesn’t mean that I’m not grateful. I think when days are laden with challenges, or when heaviness settles like a fog, there is a urgent need to remember the goodness of God. Remember Him amidst the rioting and bodies broken. Remember him in the beauty of your new home though the walls are barren. Remember Him in the sweetness of your morning tea, a gentle rain, or seek His goodness during the late night watches as your babies sleep soundly…the boys that will soon become men. The fathers that will shape a brave new world. It’s been hard, but I’m grateful. In the in-between, I loosen the clenched fist that I ache to shake at God…because I know better. He is faithful. He is better than good. He is always near and is building something great for us… though the goodness in it’s fullness may be hidden from view. So, I choose to tuck into the obscurity and strength of His love and trust that even though transition sucks, I am so very blessed.

Love you,

-Melody
